Description
The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and English language teaching reforms (ELTR) are providing the scholarships for the residents of Pakistan. These scholarships are for the aspirants of M. Phil and MS degrees who have a desire to chase their linguistics based studies.
Field of Study
The candidates can select any field for their M. Phil and MS degree program from the following stated fields:
o Applied Linguistics for example TEFL, TESL, ELT
o PGD, ADP in TEFL, TESL and ELT.

Countless scholarships are provided to candidates under this scheme.
Time period for scholarships
Indigenous ELT scholarships of 1 to 2 year duration are available under English Language Teaching Reforms (ELTR).
What does scholarship will cover?
o The scholarship covers tuition fee approximately Rs. 100,000/-
o An income of Rs 2000/- monthly at the end of each semester
o No TA or DA will be allowable for test or interview.
o No Hostel charges will be paid to the applicants.
Eligibility Criteria:
In order to be deliberated for HEC Linguistics scholarship:
o Pakistani or AJK residents
o Fulltime or permanent English faculty of public zone colleges and universities
o Teaching English at the graduate and post graduate level
o Maximum 50 years of age, with minimum 16 years of education, with no less than one year experience of teaching English as a subject
o Already registered candidates into the particular programs can also apply for the scholarships. They will get funding for the enduring period of their study.
Ineligible applicants:
o The applicants who are more than fifty years of age at the time of application or presently register in any other scholarship program offer by HEC or Government.
o Any applicant who is not from the government sector HEIs
How to Apply:
o Submission of hard copy of application and documents to Ms Rubina Mustafa, Project Manager ELTR Documents needed along with the following Application:
o The photocopies of all educational documents
o Photocopy of computerized national identity card
o The applicants will apply through proper channel.
o For college faculty NOC must be obtained from the Directorate of Colleges and university faculty must submit NOC from VC or Registrar.
o Original online bank deposit slip of Rs. 400/- (non-refundable) in favor of the Director General Finance, Higher Education Commission, on Account No. 17427900133401, Habib Bank Ltd, Shalimar Recording Company Branch, H-9, Islamabad, as dispensation fee.
o Responsibility for the Indigenous Scholarship on the judicial stamp paper
